Hazelstar was born to Acornheart and Quailwhisker. He was a single kit, yet his father neglected him and his mother rarely saw her son. This led to a lot of built up anger, causing Hazelstar to run away as an apprentice. He met a cat named Flick, who taught him how to calm his boiling anger. Hazelpaw stayed with the old cat for many moons, but eventually returned to his clanmates. However, upon returning he was startled to find his parents dead, killed by a rockslide. Without a family to return to, Hazelpaw left again. He hoped to find Flick, but he had passed away due to old age. The tom stayed in the area, eventually recruiting kind roques to form the modern day RoseClan. It has taaken much time, but it was worth every second of it all.
