If Autumnwing could be described in 3 words, those three would be that she is firm, sarcastic, and forgiving.

Being firm would be perfect for a medicine cat. She insists on her patients to stay in an extra day, giving them their herbs and keeping visitors out when needed.

On the contrary, she knows when a cat need to see someone else beside her for once. Autumnwing will let a minimal amount of cats coming in to give their thanks to Starclan and to chat with the patient.

Sometimes, cats think they know better. Perhaps another, older cat will, but rarely did they train under a knowledgeable medicine cat. Using this to her advantage, the she-cat's tone will become sarcastic. She would laugh, and become suddenly serious shortly after. Autumnwing knows better than to listen to another snarky apprentice.

When another cat, presumably an apprentice, backs down without a fight, she will become instantly forgiving. Afterall, they didn't know better. They aren't medicine cats. She seemingly understands their feelings and emotions.

All of this combined has led Autumnwing to become an overall good cat. She sees the good in others, even when they don't see it in themselves.

Clan Role

Being the medicine cat is a constant fight of life or death. Autumnwing is in charge of healing others, making sure that they are prepared for any long journey's, communicating with Starclan, and interpreting prophecies. The role is not easy, but it has it's perks.

No other role, except for the leader, has the ability to speak to Starclan. These cats are expected to be spiritually connected in order to protect their clanmates and give them the advice they need.

In order to heal their clanmates, a medicine cat must first be trained by another medicine cat the herbs that are used for certain areas, cuts, etc. Without this knowledge a cat would be powerless against death.

History

Autumnwing was born a kittypet, to Acorn, her mother, and Sun, her father. She was almost 2 moons old when she left them for housefolk of her own. Their, they showed her many things different from the life she lives today.

They showed Autumnwing, then known as Lily, different plants. Some were good for cooking, other good for healing. She was most interested in the healing herbs, and knew almost every plant a twoleg could know.

When she was around a year, her precious housefolk left. It was rumored among other cats that one of the older ones had died, and their child packed up and moved to another house.

Lily was devastated at this news. Some of her friends offered their homes to her with open paws, but she refused. She wanted to live in the wild, to find out what is was meant to be a wild cat.

Finding Deerclan, Lily offered knowledge of herbs and medicine techniques in exchange for a home. They agreed, and she became known as Auttumnpaw. She trained under an older cat named Sandfire, who had enough knowledge of herbs to teach her.

Not that she needed it, of course, but it was a mandatory step into becoming Deerclan's first real medicine cat.
