Before Deerclan came to the lake, Roseclan was already there. If fact, Deerclan's foundation is entirely Ex-Roseclan members. They settled in the snowy taiga, with their big fur coats protecting them from the constant cold. They volunteered the oak forest to become Deerclan's territory, so long as they were peaceful.

Deerclan agreed, eager to be closer to other clans. Roseclan, too, had wanted this for some time. They taught each other different methods of hunting, fighting, and ways of the ancient cats over several moons of friendship.

The two clans are very close, almost as one. But the two have their differences, and they respect that. Gatherings among the two smaller clans can be a little disencouraging, but as long as they survive they will grow bigger and more powerful then they were before.

Peace is important to the two clans. But will it last? What happens when Deerclan gets tired of Roseclan's controlling nature?
