Personality

Rabbitfoot is unlike most of the cats in his clan. He's unforgiving, a total psycho, and jealous. He works hard, but when it grants him nothing in return Rabbitfoot immediately lashes out to those around him.

When he was younger, it was thought by the other cats that 'Oh, it will disappear with age' and 'Oh, don't worry about him. He's always snappy'. But these words only trenghtened his anger.

He was born only two moons after Echostar, and she was his only friend. They were total opposites, and they talked about things they weren't able to discuss with other cats. For awhile, it seemed with would help Rabbitfoot.

But he had developed a crush on her, and his way of expressing his interest was threw anger. (Like everything else) A drift grew between them, and Rabbitfoot disappeared into the hole he was always trying to get away from.

Anger. Jealousy. Embarrassment. Everything swirls around him like a constant thorn in his paw. This, overtime, drew him farther and farther away from everyone in his clan. He slowly became disoriented, losing all purpose in life.

He only wanted to be loved, but without a proper way to express it Rabbitfoot would never love, nor be loved.

His incapabilities lead him to think of others only as a roadblock. And they had to be removed.

Clan Role

Rabbitfoot is a young warrior among Deerclan. His responsibilities include hunting for fresh kill, training an apprentice when given one, and practicing/knowing how to fight when in a battle at any given moment. If he is unprepared or has ignored any of these responsibilities the clan could become chaos.

However, the most important clan responsibility of all is that every cat should uphold the warrior code. Failing to do so leads to immediate punishment, ranging from simply cleaning out dens all the way up to banishment.

Every warrior is being counted on for these tasks. Rabbitfoot is no exception.

History

Growing up was rough. His own mother was banished from the clan, and his father followed her. But the clan insisted Rabbitfoot stay, to not follow in their pawsteps. This slowly enraged him, believing that these 'clanmates' of his only wanted to grow more and more powerful.

Echostar was the only cat he could confine in about this. She was the only cat he could trust with his secret.

During his apprenticeship, Echostar and him remained close. However, near the end, Rabbitfoot began to develop feelings for her. Without a parent-like figure to talk too, and no other friends to help him, Rabbitfoot had no way to know what he was supposed to do.

Without any experience, he dove right into the confusing mix of emotions. It came off as an arrogant and self-centered mix, driving the young cats apart.

Without Echostar nearby, Rabbitfoot would tell himself she wasn't worthy for him. That she didn't deserve him. That, that's why she left, she was as confused as he was.

But none of it was true. They both knew Rabbitfoot had been cold towards her.

But after their apprenticeship, Echostar and Raintalon seemed to be closer than usual. Rabbitfoot, as always, envied them. Mostly, he despised Raintalon.

When he was picked by the blue tom to help start a new clan, he agreed. But not for just starting over. For a chance to kill Raintalon without their being so many other cats around. It would be easier than in Roseclan.

His plan is still in development, but Rabbitfoot knows it won't be easy. In the end, though, he knows he'll be the one to comfort Echostar, to express his true feelings for her. It will be perfect.

When Rabbitfoot finally killed Raintalon, he expected Echostar to cry on his shoulder. He expected he'd break her down, so that he could build her back up. What he didn't expect was for her to grieve alone in the forest. When she ran away, and came back telling stories of a cat named Ravenstorm, he'd had enough.

Yet, he couldn't do anything about it. If he confronted Echostar he could ruin their relationship, yet, killing Ravenstorm would put him in the spotlight. Neither would work, so instead he waited. For moons, until the day his love announced she was pregnant.

This set off a spark. The plan was perfect! All he needed to do was bond with one of the kits. He needed to mentor a kit, so that he could cause pain in the same way she caused his. Why? So that he could drown him too.
