Personality
History

Echostar was a timid and insecure kit, but over time has developed self-confidence and the ability to lead others. This is sometimes questionable among other clans, believing that a cat who were meant to lead should've been born with the skills needed. But this has made her even more skillful.

Her ability to withstand the hardest of cats and set her pawmark in the soil of those before her has led her to an unquestionable leadership. She sets the standards for her clan, but realizes that all cats are different. She respects those around her, even the weakest of kits. They are the future, afterall.

Echostar's most prized belief is that one should never discourage knowledge. Any cat can master hunting, but knowing the mouse's weakest points will strengthen your abilities. Knowledge is power, afterall. You can never truly know everything without researching, adapting, and conquering those challenges beforehand.

Sometimes, Echostar can become a bit stubborn over simple matters, like where the rabbits burrows are, how a mice might detect a cats footprints, and the best battle strategy. She claims that she's lived longer, she's talked to many cats about it. She knows the correct answer. (Even if she's sometimes wrong...or right)

Growing up in Roseclan, it was crowded. Cats were constantly surrounding her. To put it simply, the clan was overcrowded. Sent by her leader, Echostar (heart at the time) recruited any willing cats, and set off. She created Deerclan with only a few of her former clans best cats.

Convincing Starclan that she was ready for leadership was a bit more difficult. Afterall, she hadn't been deputy, she hadn't had any leadership skills, and she wasn't even confident in herself! Why would Starclan accept a leader who was nowhere near ready.

But, to her own surprise, they did! Deerclan was born that night, and has been thriving since.

She now looks back on her childhood, and realizes all of the things that held her back. Echostar has now improved those skills, grown her confidence, and made herself into a role model leader. It's everything she'd ever wanted since her kithood.

Her kithood wasn't the best, afterall. She fought for attention from day 1. It was difficult.

But she had her friend, Raintalon to guide her. He was strong, charming, and helpful. He never had to fight for the things she did, he was given it all. Before Deerclan, Raintalon was deputy. But he was also Echostar's friend. When news came around to her leaving, he went with her. But he didn't want to be leader, convincing himself he wasn't ready for leadership. So, with his blessing and Starclan's, she became Echostar.

Moons later, after the tragic death of Deerclan's first deputy and her mate Raintalon, Echostar ran away to the forest. There she met a cat named Ravenstorm. He sat and listened to her speaking of her grief, comforting her. They quickly became friends after that day. 7 moons after her kits were born, Echostar realized that she finally felt at peace with this cat. She was like her old self when she was with him. They became mates and, only a moon later, Echostar became pregnant with his kits.

4 kits were born. After conceding with their father, Ravenstorm agreed to raise two in his clan, while the other two would stay with Echostar. She will never forget him, but she knows that their paths will cross again. In the meantime, Echostar strengthens her clan and builds them up.

Clan Role

Being the leader, Echostar has many advantages, disadvantages, and responsibilities she takes on. For instance, supervising apprentice training and deciding when the will become warriors is a huge task. Have they mastered everything, or were they lucky? Has their mentor taught them about respect and honor? Every little thing matters when you're leader.

One of the advantages in being leader is that what you say goes. If you don't agree with another cat about a battle strategy, you won't have to follow through. Afterall, you are more experienced then them. A simple explanation might have to be in order, but nothing more if you didn't wish.

Relationship with Raintalon

Many cats have loved, but never has Echostar felt the same love that she did with Raintalon.

Her former mate, he was murdered. No easy way to say it, so she just tells it as it is. The two, when he was alive, were inseparable. Always striving to strengthen their relationship. Before he passed, Echostar was ready to give birth to her kits in about a moon. Her grief almost cost the kits lives, but she pushed through.

He was everything to her. Always by her side, comforting her, helping her make the best decisions for the clan. He would've sacrificed his life for Echostar, and she knew that. That's why it hurt so bad, to feel like it was her fault he died. To feel like no cat was replaceable, to think that if Raintalon was alive, these kits would be the happiest they could be.
