Young

A kit can be as small as a newborn, or as old as 6 moons. Until then they are watched over and protected by the clan, no matter the role. A kit is also watched over by the parents and any other family members wanting to. They sleep in a large den with their mothers until their apprentice ceremony. A 6 moons, a cat is considered an apprentice and is given their section. This section, whether hunter or warrior, is chosen by the parents and the kit themselves. They train under a higher ranked hunter/warrior until they have completed all of their training. To prove themselves worthy of a higher role, the cat will either 1) face off against their mentor in a 1v1 (for warrior-apprentices) or 2) hunt 4 different pieces of prey before sundown. Warriors will continue to train themselves, just without a mentor beside them. They typically have completed training by 12 moons. This is whenever they are considered an adult.
